Eleven Students, Eleven Success Stories
One of the most moving moments of our 2025 Summer Enrichment Camp was celebrating the achievements of 11 incredible Grade 6 students.
Each of these young learners once struggled with reading. But with determination, support from United Way TCI’s after-school tutoring programme, and the encouragement of teachers, volunteers, and their families, they turned things around. The results speak for themselves — every single one of them passed the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) and is now preparing to begin high school with confidence.
To honour their hard work, each student was recognised at a special ceremony and presented with a certificate of achievement and an iPad, gifted in the presence of their sponsors. It was a proud moment filled with smiles, applause, and even a few happy tears.
This celebration was more than a recognition of academic success. It was proof of what’s possible when children are given the right tools, consistent guidance, and a community that believes in them.
At United Way TCI, we know that reading is the gateway to every child’s future. These 11 students are shining examples of how early intervention and dedicated support can change lives — and we couldn’t be prouder.
